At 9.5mm thick and weighing 305g, the reader is comfortable to hold in your hand. You can always have it with you. On a long or short journey, on the way to school or work, during a business meeting or on a comfortable home couch - it will work in all circumstances.
At the heart of the Cognity Tab 8 is a processor with 4 cores (Quad-core) Cortex-A35 with 1GB RAM.
The 16GB internal memory will hold a ton of books - forget about weighing down your suitcases with them.
The reader supports the OTG function , allowing you to connect external memory or headphones.
The reader has a large 7.8” eink screen with Carta technology with a built-in touch panel and LED backlight with brightness adjustment. It impresses with its comfort, practicality and ease of touch operation.

The reader has a 7.8” e-ink screen with a 16-level grayscale, which imitates the effect of traditional printing on paper. The resolution of 1872 x 1404 pixels (300 ppi) ensures super comfortable reading on a large format without eye fatigue. It is comfortable to read books, publications or diagrams with a lot of detail. The text is clear and easy to read.
Thanks to the latest E-Ink Carta technology , the screen has better contrast and a whiter background. Improved refresh allows you to read more pages without losing quality without the "screen blinking" effect.

Book formats
Cognita Tab 8 supports most available e-book formats such as: PDF (Reflow), epub, MOBI (mobipocket), FB2, FB2.ZIP, AZW , AZW3, CHM, PRC , DOC, DOCX, TXT , HTM, HTML, RTF .
Additionally, it displays graphic files in the following formats: JPG, BMP, PNG and plays audio files: mp3 , OGG , FLAC, WAV , AAC .
PDF Reflow
Cognita Tab 8 supports a very useful Reflow function for PDF files. Reflow is a way of breaking up the content of a PDF file so that it is read as text, just like in a file such as epub or fb2. The text automatically adjusts to the size of the page, making reading pleasant and comfortable. The text can also be enlarged, which is impossible when reading the original PDF file.
TTS – Text to Speech
TTS – English: "text to speech" – is a speech synthesizer or a function that allows you to convert written text to sound. With this function, Cognita Tab 8 allows you to turn a book you are reading into an audiobook.
This feature is especially useful for people who enjoy listening to audiobooks, want to deepen their knowledge, language skills, or want to multitask while enjoying their books.
You can listen through the built-in speaker or through headphones or a speaker connected via Bluetooth.
Cognita Tab 8 supports text-to-speech in 10 languages: Polish, English, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Japanese and Korean.
Dictionary/Translator
Cognita Tab 8 has built-in dictionary functions (stardict format) and a translator with many languages to choose from. The translator supports translation of single words as well as entire paragraphs or pages.
The device also allows you to look up a word in Wikipedia.
Thanks to the built-in Glossary, we can always go back to our translations to check them again.
Book library
Cognita Tab 8 lets you view your library as tiles with book covers or a list of files.
In addition to the name of the book/file, we can view the file format (list) and the % of the book read.
You can view your library by categories: All books, Recently read, Recently added, Read, and Unread.
Additionally, you can sort your library, perform batch actions, create a new folder, search for a book, or refresh your library directly from the home screen.

Cognita Tab 8 has an extensive list of available functions and settings for reading books, just like in advanced e-readers on the market.
